There have been twelve editions of the Super League since its creation in 2012 by decision of Dimayor. As champions of 2011, Atlético Nacional and Junior were responsible for initiating the emotions that have since been repeated year after year.
Medellín and Bogotá are the cities that have seen a team win the finals the most, four times each, although the republic’s capital has more titles.
Also Atlético Nacional vs. Deportivo Cali has been the most repeated final -twice-, with one title per side. At the end of 2014, Deportivo Cali classified as the best of the reclassification since Atlético Nacional were two-time champions of the league in 2013 and the regulations were set up that way.
Verde de Antioquia also holds the records for most finals played (6 included in 2023), most games played (10), most points (19), most games won (6), and most goals scored (16); however, it has also been the one to add the most subtitles (3).
All editions have been played in roundtrip matches, although for the 2020 edition between América and Junior, Dimayor attempted to make it a single and neutral final in the United States, plans affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
For the 2021 version and with only one champion in 2020, América de Cali found a rival in the reclassification, with Independiente Santa Fe coming out on top in said table.
