The Dimayor has confirmed the dates and championship system for the first League of 2023.
The Major Division of Colombian football at the last extraordinary meeting, held in mid-December, defined the system by which the 2023 season will be played, both in the League BetPlay Dimayor, as in the other official competitions, such as the Tournament and the Cup.
The First Division championship maintained the structure of the 2022 competition with the regular phase plus quadrangles and final, featuring the same 20 teams.
The ball will roll the week of January 25 and will run until June 25along with the Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana, FIFA dates and other local competitions.

FORMAT
The Dimayor established that the same system will be used for the first semester as the previous year: 20 dates will be played, including one of the Classics, in the first stage with 20 teams and the semi-final Quadrangular with the eight best to be played later determine the finalists.
Phase I – All against All (20 teams)

Phase II – Home Runs
- 6 Dates – (Return Matches)
- The 8 classified are divided into two groups
- The best of each group will advance to the Grand Final
Phase III – Final
- 2 Dates – (Return Matches)
- Foursquare Winner 1 and Foursquare Winner 2
- Local in the 2nd leg, the club with the highest score in the semester’s reclassification table. (sum of points obtained in Phase I + Phase II)
* Two clubs are relegated at the end of the year to play the BetPlay DIMAYOR 2024 tournament.
