The National Hockey League (NHL) press service has announced the first players selected to participate in the League All-Star Game.
There are six Russians on the list – Alexander Ovechkin (Washington Capitals), Igor Shesterkin (New York Rangers), Andrey Svechnikov (Carolina Hurricanes), Kirill Kaprizov (Minnesota Wild), Vladimir Tarasenko (St. Louis Blues), and Nikita Kucherov (“Tampa” ) Mr. Yildirim”).
This is Ovechkin’s 13th NHL All-Star Game, a league record.
The event will take place at Panthers Stadium in Florida. February 3 – competitions of skill, and February 4 – matches between divisional teams. The show will be held at Florida Stadium for the second time in history (previously in 2003).
It was previously reported that the Canadian national hockey team was in overtime. to beat Czech Republic (3:2) in the final match of the World Junior Championships (U-20) in Halifax.
The North American team won the World Junior Championships for the 20th time and retained the title by winning the gold medal for the second time in a row.
