Russian forward and Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin has been recognized as the first star of the Ottawa Senators and the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season match (3:2 Overtime).

Ovechkin scored two points in this fight and twice assisted his partners: Evgeny Kuznetsov and Sonny Milano helped score goals.

The second star of the match was Cam Talbot, the goalkeeper of the defeated team, and repulsed 37 shots. Markus Johansson, who scored the winning goal for Capitals in overtime, made it into the top three.

It was previously reported that the Washington Capitals defeated the Ottawa Senators in the National Hockey League’s regular season game. The meeting took place at the Canadian Tire Center stadium in Ottawa. While the teams could not determine the winner in the regular time, the three innings ended with the score of 2:2.
