The 32 qualified teams will play this round divided into 8 groups of 4 teams and will play 3 matches from November 20.
The Qatar World Cup 2022 It’s getting closer and the 32 qualified teams will play the group stage divided into 8 different groups with 4 teams each. In the first phase of the tournament, all teams can play a minimum of three matches to compete for playoff qualification and to be able to play the round of 16. The pairs of the 8 groups will be raffled off on April 1.
The group stage will be played between November 20 and December 2, 2022 and matches will be played every day during that period. Four games are played each day, two from each group, at four different times so that all games can be seen. The times are at 1pm, 4pm, 7pm and 10pm in Spain.
After the group stage, there is no break of any kind and from December 3, the 8th round of 16 matches will start, which will end on December 6. The quarter-finals are on December 9 and 10, the semi-finals on December 13 and 14, the match for third place on December 17 and the final on December 18.

The Qatari tournament will be the last edition where 32 teams will compete in the final phase. After what Giani Infantinopresident of FIFA hinted at the possibility that 2022 would be the guinea pig for the 48th World Cup, the governing body confirmed that will no longer be the case and that the 32 places will be kept.
The Executive Committee will continue with the current distribution of the World Cup seats and the qualified teams are already announced:
- Host (1): Qatar
- UEFA (13): Germany, Belgium, France, Croatia, Denmark, England, Switzerland, Serbia, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal, Poland and Wales.
- Conmebol (4): Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador and Uruguay.
- Concacaf (4): Canada, United States, Mexico, Costa Rica.
- CAF (Africa 5): Senegal, Tunisia, Morocco, Ghana and Cameroon.
- AFC (Asia 5):, already classified: Japan, Iran, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Australia.
