Przemysław Czarnek, a member of the ruling party, pushed for video materials he supplied to be shown to the committee before he posed his question at the post‑election panel. The chair, Dariusz Joński, refused to broadcast the clips during the proceedings. In a turn of events, the PiS MP publicly shared the recordings on the X platform, the same channel he had urged the committee to use, after the meeting wrapped up.

On his X account, Czarnek urged viewers to note that the videos were not allowed by the committee and claimed the clips expose who bears responsibility for a PLN 70 million failure related to blocking the May 10, 2020 elections. He asserted that the current inquiry is about that very issue.

The videos themselves cover statements from key figures in opposition circles. One clip recalls a moment when Borys Budka argued from the Sejm podium that the Senate, where the opposition held a majority at that time, blocked the postal elections. The speaker argued that the Senate’s actions, coupled with partisan opposition, halted the process.

Budka later claimed that the Senate and responsible opposition were instrumental in blocking what he described as a circus financed for the Polish people, ending the postal elections. In another recording, Rafał Trzaskowski echoed a similar sentiment, attributing the obstruction of the elections to the opposition of the period.

The material also shows a claim that local authorities succeeded in preventing any elections from taking place on May 10. Trzaskowski is seen reiterating the same point about opposition responsibility for halting the process.

The final clip features Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, KO’s presidential candidate who was later replaced by Trzaskowski. She boasted about the perceived failure of the postal elections and suggested she had played a role in canceling the May elections and prompting a new opening.

The question remains whether presenting these statements on video was seen as dangerous for the image of the current government. The exchange touched on accountability, election procedures, and political strategy during a tense period in Polish politics.
