Total Tax Management marks thirty years with an exhibition that opened today at the Alicante Provincial Assembly and will travel through several municipalities in the state. The head of the institution, Carlos Mazón, inaugurated this bilingual display in Spanish and Valencian, reviewing three decades of activity. After examining the panels, Mazón highlighted that the organization’s work benefits taxpayers, improves public services, and strengthens civic solidarity.

The exhibition unfolds in two parts: a focus on history, branding, offices, management model, services, and collaborations, along with stories about Suma’s future; and a second section featuring posters from volunteer drives from 1988 to 2022.

Work

The President expressed gratitude to the team for their work. With about 500 current employees and more than a thousand who have contributed over the years, the organization conveys a sense of belonging and pride, presenting itself as a national and international reference that attracts and nurtures talent while renewing itself both technically and humanly.

Mazón underscored Suma’s longstanding efforts and its approach to taxpayers and city councils, emphasizing a mindset that considers citizens first. Addition goes beyond subtraction; it represents an economic value that returns to communities and fortifies public services in neighborhoods, provinces, municipalities, and towns.

“We want to achieve efficiency to place the citizen on the central axis of Suma”

As the corporate executive explained, personalized plans, social awareness programs, mutual aid in difficult times, accessibility, digital tools, proximity, convenience, and solidarity have been developed and implemented. All of this serves the common good of every resident in the province.

Finally, the message extends beyond neighbors to include the entire community. There is extraordinary, broad, and nearly unanimous trust in Suma and the Provincial Assembly. He notes a commitment to efficiency, quality, and proximity as drivers of action.

For this reason, personalized plans are prepared for municipal buildings, with guidance for cadastral or technical matters. The state runs 46 offices plus mobile locations and flexible assistance designed to bring services closer to citizens.

The opening was attended by the first vice president, Julia Parra, the Treasury deputy, María Gómez, and the tax office director, José Antonio Belso, along with state legislators and former leaders who wanted to witness the event. The exhibition features works from tax offices such as José Trigueros, Manuel de Juan, and Fernando Plaza.

The exhibition named 30 Years Approaching You will remain in the Provincial Palace Exhibition Hall until March 10, with planned visits to Suma offices in Crevillent, Benidorm, Dénia, Alcoi, Torrevieja, and Alicante. A parallel instance is accessible in the metadata store via the website.

The aim, as María Gómez stated, is to value the efficient organizational model and to recall the important role that provincial municipalities play in financing and reinforcing employees’ sense of belonging to the organization.

Recognition

The Suma model has earned broad appreciation worldwide. It stands as an example of how a cooperative relationship with taxpayers can be seen as a positive and non-intrusive approach to tax collection.

The director highlighted the work accomplished over 30 years and the contributions of colleagues in shaping and presenting this exhibition.

On February 12, 1993, the Suma brand was introduced to employees who had joined from the factory to the Provincial Assembly collection service. This moment marked a turning point in the organization’s operations, earning prestige and recognition that continues through today’s three-decade history. [Citation: Suma history]
