Toni Pérez, President of the Alicante Provincial Council, led Suma’s gathering at the Alicante Provincial Archaeological Museum (Marq) this morning. The session welcomed new local companies and clarified how the tax authority supports municipalities, aiming to secure their long-term financial stability and service continuity.
During the meeting, the audience consisted of mayors and Treasury council members from 141 municipalities in the province. Attendees were informed about the range of services Suma offers to city councils, and the program included a preview of the 2023 fiscal year outcomes alongside the development of the 2025 Strategic Plan. This plan is designed to enhance the quality of public services for residents and to improve the performance of local administrations. Pérez stressed that Suma remains committed to modern, forward-looking approaches and innovation, underscoring the vital role of strengthening local financing for sustainable municipal growth.
In addition, the provincial president acknowledged the crucial support provided by the tax office. With its 30th anniversary celebrated this year, the tax office presented a proposal on local collection and financing for municipalities. He highlighted a reform plan that envisions 45 offices distributed across the province, backed by a budget of 9.5 million euros for the 2023-2030 period, aimed at improving efficiency and access to services for local governments.
