Deputy secretary of the regional committee, Miguel Tellado, was the star guest at a party event in Sant Joan last night. The popular leader has raised questions about Genoa voicing concerns over the insufficient diligence and staffing needed to fulfill voting demands at post offices for several days.

Tellado specifically voiced concern, saying there are more than a million Spaniards who want to vote. If the post office fails to deliver the ballots, people may not be able to vote. He called on the postal service to provide a solution to the problem, noting that foresight was not adequate to ensure everyone had equal access to the vote. He expressed hope that the issue would be resolved in the coming days. The discussion began earlier in the week, and in Alicante last Wednesday, the PP president Alberto Núñez Feijóo highlighted this problem caused by the socialist leadership and criticized the allocation of the necessary resources for the Presidential campaign.

As election day approached, party members mobilized across all channels, aware that summer travel would affect turnout. Voting by mail was being prepared as an option for those away. In Adda, a Galician delegate recalled deadlines for requesting mail ballots and urged voters to go to the polls in person if problems arose on the 23J date.

“If PSOE is worried about Vox, it’s fine to support a stand-alone PP government.”

Last year in investments

The head of PPCV, Carlos Mazón, balanced the institutional agenda with the electoral agenda as soon as he took office as regional leader. The Popular party focused on outlining why a political shift was necessary.

“This is the moment to move the province of Alicante away from the influence of Alberto Núñez Feijóo in the national government. This is our moment, because without action, the province could face serious problems,” said Toni Pérez, mayor of Sant Joan, a prominent regional figure, along with other senior party members and lawmakers.

“Sant Joan and the entire province understand the campaign message being presented,” he added. “Now is the time to secure more investment and reduce taxes.”

The PPCV leader praised the party’s national leadership and the work of Miguel Tellado, crediting him with helping to build and strengthen the party’s position in the Valencian Community and demonstrating that change is possible here.

Joaquín Melgarejo addressed what he called the need for stable water resources and warned against relying on desalination to replace the Tajo-Segura transfer, a point contested by the PSOE. The discussion flagged ongoing policy disputes and the push for clear solutions in regional water management.

change week

During the event, Carlos Mazón reminded attendees that the upcoming week would be pivotal for the Community of Valencia and for national leadership. He predicted a week of significant change in both regions, signaling momentum for the party across multiple levels.

Tellado later reassured supporters that the May 28 results had been favorable for the Valencia region. He projected strong momentum with nine days left to influence national outcomes, emphasizing unity and coordinated effort within the party.

Polls at the time suggested the PP could secure a majority, potentially with Vox supporting a favorable coalition. The call for mobilization was clear, and internal assessments pointed to the party gaining ground in the broader electoral landscape.
