Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov did not rule out the possibility that the leakage of classified U.S. documents could be a deliberate fabrication designed to mislead. Reports about this surfaced through TASS.
According to the diplomat, the released materials may be aimed at distorting Russia’s understanding of the situation.
He cautioned that it is not clear whether the documents exist, whether they are authentic, or whether they represent staged padding meant to influence perceptions.
The deputy head of Russia’s diplomatic ministry stressed that the United States is a participant in the ongoing conflict.
Ryabkov added that a range of scenarios and models seem plausible, though he did not commit to any single interpretation.
Additionally, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, suggested that material leaks from the Pentagon may be linked to the upcoming U.S. presidential election. She warned that deceptive moves could be expected in the period leading up to the elections.
