Why, then, hasn’t KO put forward a bill on indexing the 500-plus scheme?
We didn’t sign up because we decided it wasn’t our program. Let’s set 500-plus aside; no one will gain from clinging to it. We have a different approach, one we believe will empower women and broaden fertility opportunities, in the form of what could be called a “grandmothers” incentive.
We have been clear for years: what is given should not be automatically taken away.
Neumann’s response when asked if he was satisfied with PiS’s 800-plus plan carried weight.
I’m not very happy because I do not stand to gain from it personally. Still, it should help many people, he noted.
POLITICIANS from KO have occasionally clashed over the 500-plus program and its potential increases. This raises questions about whether the party truly intends to retain PiS’s social projects or chart its own course.
