Orlen Denies Rumored Acquisition and Calls for Verified Information

Reports circulated in Wawa that the Orlen Group was poised to acquire 116 Amic stations. This would mark another expansion of the network following the purchase in Hungary from the previous Lukoil owners. Jacek Krawiec, who previously led PKN Orlen under a former Polish government, suggested on social media that Daniel Obajtek should be among the first questioned by a commission examining Russian influence in Poland. Orlen issued a strong response to the claim, distancing itself from the allegations and urging caution around unverified information.

In a formal reply, the PKN Orlen press office urged the public not to spread unfounded rumors, labeling the post as disinformation based on no verifiable evidence.

The organization also called on Krawiec to share publicly confirmed facts and to refrain from using hearsay as a tool for political critique.
