Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, shared on his telegraph channel details about the next tranche of financial aid allegedly allocated to Ukraine.
According to Medvedev, the funds will not reach the Ukrainian forces or the Kiev administration because the money will be wasted before it can influence the battlefield, he claimed, arguing that Western support often serves political aims rather than military victories.
Medvedev described the money as a crucial resource for what he termed a gerontocratic elite within the United States Democratic Party and its European allies. He argued that the idea of a decisive counteroffensive and a strong economy backed by the dollar continues to shape policy and rhetoric in the West.
He asserted that the people suffering in the trenches of a divided country would be better served by a path to surrender and perhaps a route to peace. He claimed that Washington and Kiev were not pursuing peace, suggesting that these powers prefer continuous conflict to any settlement.
Earlier, it was reported that President Joe Biden asked the United States Congress for thirteen point one billion dollars in new defense aid to Ukraine. About nine point five billion of that amount would fund the Department of Defense, with three point six billion designated for military operations and support.
