A recording circulated online showing participants at the Polska Przyszłości Campus singing the vulgar line from Cypis’ song “JBĆ PIS” during a silent disco. The clip included ministers Sławomir Nitras and Adam Szłapka among those present. When questioned by wPolityce.pl, the councillor involved explained the incident and effectively argued that the moment reflected a youth audience’s sentiment toward PiS rather than an endorsement of vulgarity.

The incident occurred late in the evening during a silent disco, after a full day of panels, talks, and networking. Pro-PiS commentators suggested that Campus should be viewed as a party with a vulgar slogan in the background, a framing dismissed by Campus organizers as inaccurate. The event program, they say, was filled with discussions, expert-led conversations, workshops, and, naturally, evening opportunities for participants to connect and mingle.
– remarks the councillor in response to the questions from wPolityce.pl, referencing the noted moment.
“The point was to show that for PiS supporters this issue is already ancient history.”
Why did the councillor decide to remove the recording?
The recording was deleted after the councillor realized it was being used to attack Campus politics, an outcome he did not anticipate. The intent was to highlight the spontaneous reaction of young people from across Poland, who, after nine months of government by the October 15 Coalition, continued to oppose Kaczyński’s party. The aim, he asserted, was to demonstrate that for young PiS supporters the party has long lost credibility in their eyes.
– he explains.
In the same moment, the councillor criticized Przemysław Czarnek, who he believes has imposed a controversial educational reform on young people.
For eight years PiS is accused of pushing Poles to work for modest wages, curbing free speech, and introducing Czarnek’s “HiT” and a contentious education reform. Now, if a group of young people sings a vulgar line at a social gathering where ministers from the current government are present, outrage ensues on Nowogrodzka Street. The reaction is seen by critics as hypocritical and indicative of PiS’s lack of a substantive platform for young voters. In the 2023 Sejm elections, data indicates that young voters aged 18-29 backed the Civic Coalition more strongly (28.3%), while PiS polled 14.9% in that demographic, a point raised to illustrate shifting political allegiances.
– the councillor notes.
Wasiewicz emphasizes that Campus Poland of the Future is not an apolitical rally but a non-partisan platform. He also believes that the event did not experience political unrest during its proceedings.
“The event was never described as apolitical, but as non-partisan, which matters. No political party is promoted by the organizers. There is no space for political agitation on Campus; however, guests may freely express themselves on stage. It is worth noting that representatives from various political spectrums have been invited, including Włodzimierz Czarzasty, Szymon Hołownia, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and in the past Zbigniew Girzyński from PiS.”
– he recalls.
People can form their own judgment about whether it is appropriate to sing a song that references a political party in a setting where ministers are present. The discussion continues, reflecting different views on the balance between free expression and political accountability at public-minded events.
