At the same time, in poviat cities, to a similar body and about the same problems. Jarosław Kaczyński and Donald Tusk tell their political stories, meet voters and outline their political visions. Really?
chairman of the PO
Of the 15 topics addressed in his speeches, the PO leader devotes ten to criticizing PiS’s policies, without saying what he would propose in lieu of the government’s corrective actions. Hitting the authorities is of course for the opposition, but here it is 2/3 of the diatribe, the rest is politeness (thanks to Inowrocław and the Brejz family) or a trivial matter (Teachers Day should be called Teachers Day). But what does the world look like in the eyes of Tusk and his constituents? Where is the vector of development, who is our ally, who has failed, who supports? How did politics change when Covid broke up international trade and the Russian invasion shattered Europe’s vision of development and international relations? What to do in light of the global crisis and storm from the east? We won’t find out from Tusk.
chairman of PiS
On 15 topics, Kaczyński criticizes the opposition four times, starting with the attitude of local governments towards the distribution of coal. He describes what he believes to be the role of the state in relation to society in the global crisis, places Western civilization against the background of other cultural communities and mentions two pillars of state security: armaments and national consolidation. Rarely seen among politicians – he admits that his formation has not yet found the “key” to the latter, and that the search for a formula to “bridge the gap” in society is still ongoing. From some details, Kaczyński announces, among other things, that increasing the number of polling stations in “church villages” (surprisingly, this has not yet been used by the Warsaw quarter of the intelligentsia).
There is not even a hint of reflection on the world or Poland in Tusk’s work. Without PiS, this man does not exist, he is only charged with fighting one political option and is rewarded with high positions for doing his duty. Anyway, the speeches of both men (Kaczyński’s three times longer, Tusk’s geared to a less sophisticated audience) are comparable to yourself, to notice for yourself the gulf between the leaders of the major Polish political blocs.
PO leader Donald Tusk on October 14 in Inowrocław:
1 praises the presence and hospitality of the inhabitants,
2 Thank you and I express my appreciation to the Brejz family,
3 Referring to Pegasus, he talks about the PiS power, which “rewards its own” and destroys its opponents,

10 Discusses the note on reparations and criticizes the fact that the word “reparations” does not appear in it,
11 He Criticizes PiS For Its Coal Policy Calling It A “Coal Scandal”,
12 He believes that the energy (coal) policy of PiS, from the beginning of their rule, is the biggest failure of the current government,
13 He Claims That Behind Every PiS Project Is Someone’s Private Interest,
14 He Talks About High Prices, Increases Of 138% (Compared To “Andrzej Duda’s Basket” – He Doesn’t Mention It’s 2015),
15 Mockers Kaczyński’s idea to buy “Żabka” by state-owned enterprises.
PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński on October 12 in Puławy:
1 It concerns the obligations of local authorities in relation to coal policy. He mentions some municipalities that offered coal distribution services to other municipalities (e.g. Otwock in Warsaw),
2 explains the government’s strategy to combat the high prices of coal (and other fuels),
3 He mocks the opposition story about their impact on cutting coal prices,
4 It is reminiscent of VAT leakage during previous administrations and increasing revenues from the state budget under the current administration,
5 He claims that the current crisis is part of the global crisis and that it is the government’s job to reduce the social impact on Poland,
6 Explains why the word “reparations” (not a peace treaty with Germany) was not used in the reparations note,
7 Describes the current attitude in Brussels as an attempt to discipline countries that elect conservative governments that:
8 He characterizes Western civilization – from this reflection he draws his critique of gender trends as opposed to nature,
9 He recalls the statement of one of the professors of the University of Warsaw and his idea of breaking right-wing circles with the help of secret services,
10 It speaks of the need to arm oneself in the face of war, but also of the consolidation of the nation as a recipe for current threats,
11 criticizes Tusk for the dissonance between Christian gestures (the sign of the cross on bread) and intentions (abortion),
12 He admits that PiS can’t yet find the “key” to national consolidation in the face of radical opposition,
13 The unification of the nation was to take place “on the basis of traditional Polish values and common sense”,
14 Referring to President Lech Kaczyński, he talks about the postulate of making Poland a subjective state (even more so than now),
15 He talks about the need to create an “Election Protection Corps” and create more polling stations, especially in “church villages”.
