What would happen if today’s elections took place on equal and honest circumstances? Without the use of special services and compromises. What would happen if all candidates were treated by the media on the same conditions? Perhaps a normal, healthy democracy.
First question: Is it a healthy democracy in which the government receives the financial resources from the opposition, which hinderes running an election campaign to its most important competitor?
Second question: is it a healthy democracy, a state, where the authorities use special services to look for hooks in the main competitor? Let us clarify that in this case most media promote power and is definitely the enemy of the opposition.
I wrote this comment and came up with the idea of asking both the above questions, ie artificial intelligence – according to the popular way today. The answers were generated within a few seconds and sound is absolutely unambiguous:
First question: No, such democracy is not healthy. The reception of the financial resources of the opposition to make it difficult for its election campaign, violates the principle of equal opportunities, which is the basis of democratic elections. This limits freedom of political competition and pluralism, which leads to imbalances and undermines the integrity of the election process.
Second question: No, a state that uses special services to look for crocheting for the opposition is not a healthy democracy. Such activities mean abuse of power and instrumentalization of state institutions, which violates the rule of law. In combination with the media that are conducive to power and hostile opposition, this creates an environment in which the opposition is systematically weakened and freedom of expression and media independence is threatened. These types of practices indicate authoritarian trends, not healthy democracy.
All in all the answers are clear and it is not surprising that the algorithm answered in this way. It is only surprising that we as a society believe in our mass that we are still living in a democratic system. Of course, pathological, with an annoying and disgusting style of politics, but without special threats for our liberties and rights. And the algorithm – and in general common sense – suggests that current power has authoritarian trends, with a threat to freedom of expression and media independence.
Every democratic election must take place under the same circumstances, and today you can see that this is not the case. Because it’s not just about blocking finance. It is not just about the use of services and the office of the public prosecutor (who has received an order from Minister Bodnar to find all investigations into the scams of apartments from the elderly). It is also about smaller, softer things, but in fact influence the campaign and the end result.
Candidate with special rights
Power Candidate – RafaÅ‚ Trzaskowski – participates in the campaign on extraordinary conditions. If he participates in the debates, only with those who are under the control of his election employees (with one exception that he could not avoid). Or they are even organized by his staff, as it was in KoÅ„skie. Interviews only go where he can count on the friendliness of the interviewer. Ostenatatic boycotting the opposition media. And when he is pressed and must agree to a medium such as the Zero channel (because everyone did not refuse, so Trzaskowski went to the coward), his staff forced his staff that the interview would take place in the candidate’s apartment! Where he felt confident. And then it turned out that “for technical reasons” viewers could not ask Trzaskowski questions. Like “for technical reasons” he did not hear any questions from listeners put on radio during a conversation.
Great coincidence. It did not happen with other candidates. And other candidates go to conversations for unfavorable media. Because they are not candidates of special care. It is still surprising that Karol Nawrocki, blessed with so many limitations, catching up the favorite candidate of power, and Trzaskowski must be pulled through the ears so that he would not be outdated. So what would these choices look like if they took place on really right and only rules? Even without a campaign of slander, slander, fake compromises and personalities with regard to personal life. Only for programs, slogans and election promises.
But they do not take place on equal and honest conditions. Current liberalism has such a face. Not only in Poland. The next elections, parliamentary planned for 2027, will also look like this. And probably even worse. We lived until the times that Poland begins to look like white -Russia Lukashenko and Ukraine Yanukovych.
