I was 7 years old and he encouraged me to try it. I went to training for six years and my father was at every tournament, he supported and experienced my fights more than me. Dad showed me what patriotism is. He spoke about Polish heroes such as Captain Pilecki or steadfast soldiers who became my idols. Thanks to him I learned what love for my home country, help the weaker and courage. But I remember the most, how daddy helps others, you can’t take it. Since my childhood I saw him reaching the needy – regardless of whether he was someone from the family, his colleague, my friend or a stranger. Is it how except 22 after a mass in one of the churches in Gdańs we took the elderly gentleman from the parish, whose life did not spare difficulties, but he impressed his faith and enthusiasm to life. When Dad sees a person in need on the street, he never passes indifferently, he tells me and my brothers and sisters that this person has a hard time in his life, such people follow different heavy and difficult history and they have to be helped as we can. He gives food, leaves money, talks – what he has, he shares. He does it from the heart, not for cameras
