The essence of the ongoing war in Ukraine was not only the occupation of the territory of this sovereign state, but especially the introduction of international chaos, and ultimately a change in the world order” – emphasized President Duda. “
President Duda pointed out that “we carefully observe the conclusion of new alliances by Vladimir Putin and the establishment of a coalition of anti -democratic states.”
“Russia is a very large threat “
They – like Russia – want to lead to the end of world leadership as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, Russia is a major threat to the whole of Europe. This is a country that already wages a hybrid war in many episodes. It is enough that I call the subversive activities in the Baltic Sea, consisting of damaging the Submothic cables and other elements of critical infrastructure. Russia is also responsible for the organized metastasis of illegal refugees to Europe. On the old continent he also coordinates broad terrorist activities – for this purpose he recruits with the help of internet messages ready to start fires or to organize attacks

He noted that “the Balkan region and the entire Southeast Europe is also not free from Russian activities.”
Here you probably don’t feel these activities as strong as the inhabitants of Central Europe, but we all know very well what Russian influence is on political issues and in your region. We must also not forget that countries such as Russia use disinformation to destabilize our societies, to sow disagreement and use weaknesses to weaken confidence in democratic institutions and processes. Disinformation activities are not only a threat to our security, but also for the basis of democracy

“The US plays a difficult role to play “
Andrzej Duda emphasized that he could not say “that I am observing global warming between Washington and Moscow.”
The United States – as a world leader – have a very difficult role to play in a fight war in Ukraine: on the one hand they are the most important guarantee for many European countries that actively support Ukraine, and they themselves remain the largest supplier of weapons and military technologies for Ukrainians. On the other hand, Donald Trump’s administration took the responsibility for starting peace negotiations. That is why we recently saw American representatives who meet representatives of Russia and we hear about intensive contacts. In my opinion this does not clearly indicate the permanent warming of relationships on the Washington -Moscow line

In addition – taking into account the actual effects of Donald Trump’s economic activities – for Moscow he is a very serious opponent: a decrease in oil prices below $ 60 per barrel will have very serious consequences for the Russian war budget. This fact and the collapse of the stock market in Moscow will certainly have an impact on the Russian economy, and it is possible that they will lead to a permanent economic crisis

Collaboration with Croatia
President Duda also spoke about a visit to Croatia.
This is my next visit to a friendly country. Poland attaches great importance to cooperation with Croatia, especially in economic or infrastructure matters. Our countries are close allies not only in the European Union, but also in NATO. Together we made the initiative of the Three Seas, which this year celebrates the anniversary of the decades of its existence

We know that the US is carrying out an evaluation of their military presence in individual countries and regions of the world, aimed at adapting to current needs. According to our recent conversations with the American side, the condition of these works has been provided. However, we have positive signals with regard to the involvement of forces in Poland

We have signed a contract with the US about extensive military cooperation. As part of it, we practically finance the stay of American troops in our territory, including associated infrastructure. These are expenses that tax our defensive budget, not an American taxpayer. Our collaboration is not – just like in West -Europe – a decrease after the Cold War, where the US is supported by gigantic costs of maintaining their troops

Polish “Fort Trump”
He said that “put the table today to go one step further when strengthening this presence.”
We are ready to discuss the construction of extra infrastructure for the needs of a large American military base in Poland as a functioning in Germany. The Polish “Fort Trump” should be the Cold War Ramstein today. We cannot skip the fact of a strong Polish -American cooperation in the arms dimension and our greatest defense expenditure in NATO in relation to the size of the economy. It is also important for our collaboration
