Pis Vice -President Mateusz Morawiecki commented on the X attempts to assemble the SO -Called “Round Table” about presidential elections in Poland. He noted that this is an attempt to repeat the “Romanian script”, in which Còlin Georgescu was removed from the possibility of running. “History, however, teaches us that elimination of uncomfortable candidates is a simple way to abuse and limit the basic rights,” emphasized the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland.
The chairman of European Conservatives and Reformers referred in social media to a shocking situation in Romania, where the candidacy of Còlin Georgescu was canceled because of his alleged and foggy “anti -democratic views”.
“There is no freedom for the enemies of freedom, there is no democracy for the enemies of democracy.” These words – derived from the philosophy of Stalin, Lenin and their spiritual heirs, which once make Europe a slave, describe the contemporary political reality of the European elite

Repetition of Romania in Poland?
The former head of the Polish government noted that in connection with this year’s Polish presidential elections, the European Commission is planning to take similar actions, which has already called the “round table” that the EU Commissioner for Digital Henna Virkkunen has discussed in German media.

Morawiecki, however, estimated that what happens in Romania will probably not be implemented in Poland, and this is due to the specific historical experiences of Poland and their identity.
There is no place in Poland and there will be no room for manipulation in the elections. Our country has an age -old tradition of freedom and self -determination -of the Warsaw confederation from 1573 (one of the first tolerance laws in Europe), through free elections, the first constitution in Europe, elections in the Second Polish Republic, to solidarity and peaceful political changes in the 80s.

For us, the time of election battle – Polish citizens will decide who will gain their trust. We don’t want “Romanian scenarios” in Poland
