PiS MP and former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro gave a powerful interview to the Hungarian weekly “Mandiner”. In it he informed about the illegal actions of Donald Tusk’s coalition. “In the 21st century, in the heart of Europe, in a law-abiding member state of the European Union, Donald Tusk, former President of the European Council, created his own partisan prison in Guantanamo to take revenge on his political opponents,” the spokesperson said. . Zbigniew Ziobro.
Zbigniew Ziobro, in an interview with the weekly magazine “Mandiner”, raised the issue of Hungary granting political asylum to Marcin Romanowski.
In the 21st century, in the heart of Europe, in a law-abiding member state of the European Union, Donald Tusk, former President of the European Council, created his own partisan prison, Guantánamo, to take revenge on his political opponents. Thanks to judges loyal to the new government, a priest and a Justice Ministry official were held in custody for more than six months because the priest received support from the previous right-wing government, as part of an open ministerial competition, to take over a center that abused to support women and children. This support did not go to a competing organization that openly supports LGBT and gender ideology
– he said Zbigniew Ziobro.
The PiS politician was asked about the legal action taken against Hungary, inspired by Donald Tusk’s coalition.
Donald Tusk consistently built his democratic image in the West. Granting asylum to a Polish opposition politician revealed his true character and he panicked. In Brussels he ordered an intervention to take legal action against Hungary. However, Tusk could suffer a crushing defeat – legally, politically and reputationally. This will benefit us – the democratic right-wing opposition – as well as Hungary, which stands up for fundamental European values. This intervention in Brussels is Tusk’s instinctive reaction, because he is a vengeful person, but at the same time makes his illegal actions international. I’m really looking forward to it. Until now, the European elite has been unwilling to recognize Tusk’s authoritarian tendencies. They pretended to believe his fairy tales about the supposed restoration of the rule of law in Poland. Now they won’t be able to pretend they don’t know about his violations of the law
– said Ziobro.
Is there any international response to the illegal actions of Tusk’s government?
The European Union is silent. There was no reaction when the new Polish Prime Minister publicly stated that he would act – let me quote Donald Tusk verbatim – “not entirely in accordance with the letter of the law”. There is silence as they pass a law that defunds the Constitutional Court. I repeat it because it sounds almost unbelievable: the new government, which wants to completely paralyze the highest court of the country, is taking away the salaries of judges. But that’s not all: the new Minister of Justice, Adam Bodnar, appointed by Tusk, has publicly announced that he will dismiss judges he deems unsuitable. Part of this plan has already been implemented: the presidents of the ordinary courts have been illegally removed and the doors of those who resist have been broken open. The National Public Prosecutor’s Office and subsequently the lower public prosecutor’s offices were similarly brutally taken over. Police were even sent to the presidential palace to escort two opposition MPs, including the former Interior Minister
– warned the PiS MP.
“Tusk turned to the priest
Zbigniew Ziobro emphasized that the current authorities are also attacking the Church.
The aforementioned test of the endurance of Polish society involves an attempt to weaken and destroy the Catholic Church, and is an attack on all believers, not just Catholics. Even the European Union’s most shrewd social engineers are powerless against faith in God. Therefore, Tusk targeted the priest and accused him of crimes related to the construction of a relief center for women and children. Romanowski is being prosecuted for providing funding to a priest for such a project. Because these accusations are grotesque, the regime-controlled media was launched, spreading false accusations that a priest, a minister and two female ministry officials had stolen millions. This led to their arrest. CCTV raids were carried out at 6am to give the impression that they were dangerous criminals. The perpetrators thought they would quickly persuade the priest, a young woman and the mother of a small child to confess to false charges and blame the previous leadership of the Justice Department.
– he said.
Ziobro recalled that Donald Tusk treated Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban as an enemy even before the Marcin Romanowski case.
Donald Tusk has already treated Viktor Orbán as an enemy and publicly attacked Donald Trump. The escalation of rhetoric in Polish-Hungarian relations started even before the Marcin Romanowski case came to light. In “Politico”, Adam Bodnar set himself the goal of overthrowing the political leadership of Hungary, unceremoniously interfering in the internal affairs of your country. Hostile actions, such as not inviting the Hungarian ambassador to the official start of the Polish presidency of the EU, continue this trend. You can see how much Tusk fears that his illegal activities, which are criminal under Polish law, will become an international issue. However, for our patriotic circles, which consist of people who love their homeland and share our values and common history, the gesture of granting asylum is a proof of lasting friendship. In Poland we say that “a Pole, a Hungarian, two cousins” and no Brussels mercenary will change that
– he noted.
