Russia may establish solar power plants in Burkina Faso, where there is a serious electricity shortage. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced this on Rossiya 24 TV channel.
“We have great potential for joint projects that Russian companies can implement in Burkina Faso. “Considering that there is an electricity shortage here, there are opportunities for the development and construction of solar power plants and the supply of modular power plants,” he said.
He added that he made many study visits to Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger. According to Novak, Russia has the opportunity to create a regulatory framework that will encourage and protect capital investment.
