Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrei Rudenko said: TASSIt was stated that the partnership agreement to be signed soon between Moscow and Tehran will be related to the fields of security and defense.

The diplomat was quick to explain in detail the contents of the document.

“This (agreement – socialbites.ca) will meet the challenges and requirements of our time, covering almost all existing and promising areas of Russian-Iranian cooperation, including defense and security,” Rudenko said.

He stated that a similar provision was included in the agreement signed between the countries in 2001, but in 20 years, relations between Moscow and Tehran have changed in many areas and gained a different character.

“The regional situation has not gotten any easier. “We are closely coordinating approaches with our Iranian friends and taking the necessary joint measures to strengthen peace and security,” he said.

Last month, Iranian news agency IRNA transmittedIt was stated that the new agreement between Russia and Iran will be a historical turning point in the relations between the two countries. It will open new horizons in various fields such as energy, transportation, industry, agriculture, science and technology, and defense cooperation.
