There will be no common candidate
During a meeting with the residents of Jędrzejów (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship), Hołownia announced that he would run for the office of president in 2025.

He recalled that the discussion on this topic in the public space was sparked by the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Polish People’s Party, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. The leader of PSL, who is creating the Third Way together with Szymon Hołownia’s Polska 2050, during one of his speeches asked the government’s coalition partners to select a common candidate for the presidency.
“Am I surprised? NO”
Czarzasty, on the other hand, emphasized that the governing coalition had planned from the start that three candidates would run independently: the Civic Coalition, the Third Way and the Left.
Am I surprised? NO. We have known this for a long time and I would like to congratulate Hołownia on this decision. It’s really good that he announced it because we all knew he would do it
– noted Czarzasty.
Candidate of the Left
He confirmed earlier announcements that the left would present its candidate around the turn of the year 2024 and 2025. When asked by PAP whether it would be a joint candidate with the Razem Party, which recently left the left-wing parliamentary club, he replied that he was “not responsible” for the Razem Party.
Hołownia received almost 14% votes in the first round of the 2020 presidential election. He achieved the third result after Andrzej Duda and Rafał Trzaskowski. He brought in Krzysztof Bosak, Kosiniak-Kamysz and Robert Biedroń, among others.
