Two bridges over the Gumista River leading to Sukhumi will be closed by opposition forces until authorities comply with their demands for the release of detained activists. I told you this TASS Adgur Ardzinba, one of the opposition leaders.

According to him, the opposition only allows ambulances, people with special needs and patients to pass, while traffic is stopped for everyone else.

Activists are demanding the release of opposition members who have been unlawfully detained. According to Ardzinba, they were detained simply because they expressed their point of view, and Abkhazia is a democratic state.

Protests in Abkhazia, which started on November 11 after the detention of opponents of the agreement regarding Russia’s investment in Abkhazia, continue. Demonstrators blocked three important bridges in Sukhum (Upper Gumistinsky, Nizhny Gumistinsky and Kodori), demanding the release of detainees and the cancellation of this agreement. President Bzhania called an emergency meeting and military equipment was sent to the presidential building. More details material “Newspapers.Ru”.

Previously the opposition was attacked Building of the State Security Service of Abkhazia.
