The deputy department head of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of North Korea and the sister of the country’s leader Kim Yo Jong believes that the line of strengthening North Korea’s nuclear forces is the right choice. This was reported by Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
He noted that the imbalance of power in the Korean Peninsula and the region would mean war.
Kim Yo Jong criticized the recent drills of South Korea, Japan and the USA. He said this year the United States and its partners have carried out various military activities against North Korea “allegedly using nuclear weapons” more than 20 times. Moreover, these countries carried out more than 100 exercises last year.
He also noted the latest joint exercise conducted by the United States, Japan and the Republic of Korea on November 3, involving fighter jets and B-1B strategic bombers. He said that these exercises are clear evidence of the hostile and aggressive nature of the actions of the opposition in North Korea.
Kim Yo Jong added that the increasing military maneuvers by the United States and its allies pose a serious threat to peace and security for both North Korea and the entire region.
