Paweł S., the creator of the Red is Bad brand, who was transported from the Dominican Republic, stayed on Thursday after… 10 a.m. and was taken to the Silesian branch of the National Public Prosecution Service in Katowice, where he will be interrogated as a suspect in the investigation into irregularities at the Government Agency of Strategic Reserves (RARS).
Paweł S. (initially agreed to give his name, but his lawyers said he withdrew it) was detained last Friday in the Dominican Republic. He was transported to Poland on Wednesday after the Dominican side agreed to his deportation. After hours At 9 p.m. the plane with S. on board landed at Chopin Airport.
After crossing the Polish border, the court’s decision was applied to temporarily arrest S. for 90 days. According to the regulations, after the hearing, the public prosecutor will order that the suspect be brought to court with the request to maintain pre-trial detention, unless he decides to change the preventive measure.
Shortly before S. was brought in, the head of the Silesian PK branch, Tomasz Tadla, told journalists that the suspect would be charged and instructed on all his rights and obligations.

Just before At 10 a.m., S’s lawyers entered the office building of the Public Prosecution Service. One of them, attorney Jacek Dubois, noted that this would be his first meeting with his client in months. It is therefore not yet known whether the suspect will testify.
He confirmed that the Public Prosecution Service is pursuing three charges against his client, including one related to an organized criminal group.

Decision to file charges
The National Public Prosecution Service announced in August the decision to file charges against the former heads of RARS, Michał K. and Paweł S., for irregularities at RARS. This concerns participation in an organized criminal group, failure to fulfill obligations and exceeding authorities to obtain financial gain. From October 10, Sz. he was wanted on a red notice from Interpol. An arrest warrant and a European arrest warrant were previously issued against him.
The investigation into irregularities at RARS started on December 1, 2023. It is carried out by the Silesian Branch of the Organized Crime and Corruption Department of the National Public Prosecution Service in Katowice. These include: exceeding powers and failing to fulfill duties by RARS employees in organizing and carrying out the purchase of goods, thus acting at the expense of the public interest from February 23, 2021 to November 27, 2023 in Warsaw to obtain a financial benefit.
The basis for launching the investigation were classified materials collected by the CBA and two reports for suspicion of committing a crime filed by the Inspector General of Financial Information. At a later stage of the investigation, the General Inspector of Financial Information made two more reports on suspicion of money laundering.
