“If this is the will of the voters and we return to the helm of government, we will not comply with the rules of the migration pact that Tusk’s government adopted,” said Mateusz Morawiecki, vice president of PiS, in a question and answer conversation with Internet users on Facebook. The former Prime Minister recalled that during his rule, Poland, together with the Czech Republic and Hungary, blocked the migration pact.
During a question and answer session on the social networking site Facebook, the former head of the Polish government, Mateusz Morawiecki, answered questions from Internet users. Many of them related to the migration pact, which the current Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, did not block at the EU forum, even though he had the opportunity to do so.
It was my efforts that led to the European Council conclusions of June 2018 and reiterated in June 2019, including a section on unanimity that I had developed. And this unanimity is not only violated, but even violated in the current legislative process of approving the migration pact.
– emphasized Mateusz Morawiecki.
He assured that if his party were to form a government again, it would not adhere to the migration pact.
Using these provisions, if this is the will of the voters and we return to the helm of government, we will not follow the rules of the migration pact that Tusk’s government adopted.
– he added.
Morawiecki: Mr. Donald, please do the same
The former prime minister pointed out that accusations that he failed to veto the EU migration pact are “a lie in cubes, not in squares”.
Not only when the majority of Member States were in favor of the Migration Pact, we did not implement the Migration Pact of Tusk and Ewa Kopacz, not only when Donald Tusk, as President of the European Council, threatened those Member States that did not comply with the Migration Pact. After all, it was my actions at European Council level that led to this […] that together with Hungary and the Czech Republic […] we blocked the migration pact. We blocked it for 5 years
– Morawiecki emphasized.
I blocked this migration pact, and the current ruling coalition agreed to unblock it. And I showed the path how to block it
– he added.
The former Prime Minister also appealed to the current head of government:
Mr. Donald, please use the way I blocked the migration pact and do the same.
“KPO is like Yeti, ask the mayors”
The PiS vice president also spoke critically about the current coalition’s blocking of projects and investments initiated during the United Right’s rule.
I signed a contract with Intel over a year ago, and if the powers that be had acted quickly, if they had not postponed just because it was a PiS investment, this investment would have been completed.
– he emphasized.
I don’t know to what extent, to what extent, maybe smaller, I don’t deny it, but I put forward the position that there was an opportunity for this investment
– he added.
In the context of the National Reconstruction Plan, the opposition politician pointed out that the government programs were a kind of “European Union” for many municipalities.
KPO is like Yeti, that’s true. Just ask the mayors and municipal heads in most voivodeships in Poland. They had experienced government programs before, no support from the European Union, I can say it was us, the Polish government, the Polish state budget was a kind of European Union, in the sense that it was fully financed by the Polish budget
– he assessed.
Morawiecki noted that this involves “tens of thousands of investments, more than PLN 100 billion from the Polish budget.”
Now this has all stopped and KPO will certainly not replace it. Moreover, they are extremely slow in actually obtaining these resources to implement individual programs and projects
– he said.
Independence March and Confederation
What about the Independence March? In the past, PiS did not officially participate in this event. It was previously associated with nationalist circles. Politicians for Law and Justice have been participating in the celebrations in Krakow on November 11 for years.
I will participate in the Independence March and I invite everyone to this Independence March
– stated the vice president of PiS.
The former Prime Minister noted that when it comes to the Independence March, he has nothing against cooperation between PiS and the Confederation.
If you see my statements about the Confederacy over the past five years, you will not see excessive, harsh criticism there, because I believe that we must use the strategy: there is no enemy on the right, there is no enemy in general. understood patriotic camp, who he is not against us, he is with us
– he emphasized.
