The case of the housing allowance received by Deputy Minister of Justice Arkadiusz Myrcha and his wife Kinga Gajewska (both MPs of the Civic Coalition) led to a heated discussion. The case turns out to have further consequences, this time… linguistic.
The State Secretary expressed the doubts about his place of residence as follows:
To clarify the doubts arising after checking the assets declaration, I declare: My permanent residence (including registration) is in (…). Due to my parliamentary duties, I spend most of my working days in Warsaw. To secure a place for my children in public educational institutions, I had to become a taxpayer in Warsaw. Therefore, the residence in Warsaw is purely for tax purposes.

Myrcha’s actions, as well as his past translations, soon manifested themselves in… language problems.

It is worth recalling that the character of Arkadiusz Myrcha was a popular topic of conversation in the magazine “Bez Spiny”.
