Armenian authorities are ready to change the republic’s constitution to ensure peace with Azerbaijan. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this while speaking at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. TASS.
According to him, if Yerevan signs a peace agreement with Baku, this document will be sent to the Constitutional Court of Armenia to verify the compliance of its contents with the fundamental law of the country.
“If the Constitutional Court rules that the agreement is contrary to the Armenian Constitution, then we will find ourselves in a situation where constitutional amendments will be necessary to ensure peace,” said the chairman of the Republic’s Council of Ministers.
