French PM sends final cabinet structure to Macron 02:37

In France, new Prime Minister Michel Barnier sent the final proposal for the formation of the new cabinet to the country’s President Emmanuel Macron. BFMTV.

The channel explains that the final version of the structure and composition of the republic’s Council of Ministers has been sent to the Elysee Palace and that Macron and Barnier are expected to call each other in the evening.

On September 19, the prime minister sent the president a list of 38 candidates for the new cabinet. According to preliminary data, among others, the 64-year-old Republican senator Bruno Retaio could enter, Antoine Armand, 33, a member of Macron’s party, could head the Ministry of Finance, Sebastien Lecornu could continue to head the defense department and 41-year-old Jean-Noël Barrault would become Minister of Foreign Affairs.
