Moldova supports US sanctions against Russian media 19:35

The Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed support for the US Treasury Department’s sanctions against Russian media. The statement was published on the ministry’s official account on the X social network.

“We welcome any efforts to punish attempts to undermine democracy, interfere with the electoral process and destabilize foreign intervention,” the statement said.

American sanctions were also imposed on the Russian Autonomous Independent Organization (ANO) Eurasia, which has ties to businessman and politician Ilan Shor, as well as the international media group Rossiya Segodnya and ANO TV-Novosti.

Later, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova compared US sanctions against RT with a multi-headed hydra.
