“Today I had a parliamentary inspection at the General Directorate of State Forestry in Warsaw. Just a few days ago, the meeting room on the second floor of the building was named after Professor Jan Szyszko, and now… it is not called that anymore,” PiS MP Paweł Sałek wrote on Facebook. The politician said he had not received an answer to the question of who personally made such a decision.
He died in 2019. Prof. Jan Szyszko, former Minister of Environment in the Beata Szydło government, is commemorated, among other places: at the Directorate-General for State Forests, where one of the meeting rooms is named after him. However, it turns out that the current government is busy erasing all traces of its predecessors.

If Minister Hennig-Kloska or one of her deputies had as much knowledge about the functioning of the state entrusted to them as the late Prof. Jan Szyszko, perhaps Polish affairs would look very different today.
