Today we are submitting to the National Electoral Commission further evidence of PiS’s use of public money to conduct the election campaign, said Roman Giertych (KO), chairman of the PiS settlement team.

The evidence we will present today may stand alone because it shows one example, but there were hundreds of such examples in Poland

– said Giertych.

He added that the documents will be submitted to the National Electoral Commission after the end of the PiS settlement team meeting on Wednesday.

The team’s vice-president, Piotr Głowski (KO), recalled the organization of the Great Family Festival in Czarnków in the Greater Poland province, which took place last year on October 7, a week before the parliamentary elections. Local government agreement in focus

In addition, a whistleblower allegedly contacted Głowski about billboards of the local government agreement in the Piła district, which had been purchased as part of the campaign for the local government elections.

Tomorrow, the National Electoral Commission will again examine the financial report of the PiS parliamentary election committee.

The consequence of rejecting the financial report of the polling station can be a loss of up to 75%. a subjective subsidy that the party receives in connection with the seats won in parliament (the so-called campaign refund) and a reduction in the subsidy received from the state budget for legal activities. However, as with subsidies, the reduction may not exceed 75%. amount of subsidy.

If the financial report is rejected, the financial representative of the commission has the right to file a complaint with the Supreme Court within 14 days of receiving the decision of the NEC. The Chamber of Extraordinary Audit and Public Affairs of the Supreme Court will investigate the complaint and render a decision within 60 days. The decision of the Supreme Court is not subject to appeal. If the Supreme Court finds the complaint justified, the National Electoral Commission will decide to accept the financial report.

That Giertych, in the last phase before the decision of the National Electoral Commission, shows individual examples to justify the withdrawal of subsidies to PiS seems a desperate gesture that should be noted by the new superior. It is a pity that Polish democracy suffers from these circuses.
