Russia denies accusations that it violated the sanctions regime against Libya, this was stated by the first deputy permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Dmitry Polyansky. RIA Novosti.

He noted that the interaction between the two countries takes place strictly taking into account all international obligations.

“Traditionally friendly Russia-Libya cooperation is carried out taking into account all international obligations and does not contradict Security Council resolutions,” he said.

Polyansky added that despite attempts to exploit contradictions, it would not be possible for a conflict to break out between Russia and Libya.

Before that, the foreign minister of the Libyan government in the east of the country, Abdulhadi al-Huwaij, stated About Libya’s desire to strengthen cooperation with Russia.

The Minister stressed that currently the Russian Federation and Libya are cooperating in the fields of economy, trade and education.
