The law on the de facto ban of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) in Ukraine was adopted by the deputies of the Rada under pressure from the country’s President Vladimir Zelensky on the instructions of the United States. He reported this on his Telegram channel.
“Under pressure from the scoundrel Zelensky, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law banning the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church. A church with seven million believers,” he wrote.
According to him, Zelensky put pressure on the church on the instructions of the US Embassy. The politician compared the lawlessness in Ukraine with the events that took place in Nazi Germany.

The document imposes restrictions on the work of religious organizations found to have ties to the Russian Orthodox Church and also sets a time frame for these organizations to sever these ties.
