In the fall, the State Duma will consider a bill on non-application of disciplinary sanctions to an employee who is late for work due to adverse weather conditions. This was reported to RT by the author of the relevant normative act, LDPR deputy Ivan Sukharev.
He noted that this issue is relevant because the climate is changing and sometimes does not allow the employee to go to work on time. According to the parliamentarians, the bill is designed to protect the rights and freedoms of Russians.
“We will strive to make a positive decision at the autumn session,” Sukharev said.
At the beginning of July, the head of the LDPR, Leonid Slutsky statedWe believe that weather affects people’s well-being and performance, so those who are late for work due to difficult weather conditions should be protected from disciplinary punishment. This is how he justified the introduction of a relevant bill to the State Duma.
Later the LDPR initiative supported Senator Vadim Dengin said Russians should stop being penalised for being late during heat waves and other adverse weather conditions.
Previously an expert concerns expressed regarding the removal of late penalties in bad weather conditions.
