Announcement by the President of the Polish Olympic Committee
Last Monday, the Minister of Sport asked Piesiewicz to provide documentation on, among other things, the composition of delegations of individual associations to the Olympic Games in Paris. This information had to be sent to the Ministry of Sport and Tourism by 14 August 2024. This was in connection with the media criticizing the President of the Polish Olympic Committee that athletes were in worse conditions than committee activists. Last Friday, Nitras said that the Polish Olympic Committee had not provided the information and stressed that the official IOC document requires the disclosure of such information.
On Monday, Piesiewicz announced that “after all costs have been counted” all documents will be presented to the public.
