A decisive verbal skirmish in the Telewizja wPoland studio resulted from the fact that MP Sławomir Ćwik misheard, but this mistake cost the Polish 2050 policy dearly. The conversation between Robert Telus (PiS) and the above-mentioned MP was led by Jakub Maciejewski and was concerned. the amount of 100 billion złoty, which Donald Tusk accuses the right wing of embezzling.
The journalist turned to the PiS MP and commented on the 100 billion:
These huge amounts of money will stick to you!
At this point, MP Ćwik intervened and attacked television in Poland:
You used one sentence: these are huge amounts of money that are sticking to the US. I understand your name is “Television of Law and Justice”.
The host did not hesitate and suggested that both the guest and the host use their own nomenclature for the environment from which the interlocutors come. Maciejewski said:
You can call our television whatever you want. I can also call your coalition not the Third Way, but the Third Leg – Tusk. So let’s make a deal: you say “PiS television” and we talk about your party “Tusk’s Third Leg”.
After a while, the interlocutors explained that it was an unfortunate failure to hear the word “was”, which resulted in a verbal fight. However, it turned out that the tension threatened to increase: the whole discussion was full of harsh slogans and radical accusations.
