Russian President Vladimir Putin met with the Governor of the Kaliningrad region Alexei Besprozvannykh. The minutes of the meeting were published website Kremlin.

Besprozvannykh was registered as a candidate from the United Russia party in the elections for governor of the Kaliningrad region. The elections will be held in September.
A total of four candidates will participate in the regional elections for the presidency, including Yuri Shitikov from the regional branch of the party “Fair Russia – Patriots – For Truth” and Maxim Bulanov from the regional branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, as well as Evgeny Mishin, who was nominated by the regional branch of the LDPR.
