The wPolityce.pl portal found that lawyer Krzysztof Wąsowski, the defender of priest Michał Olszewski, did not sign the current activities of the prosecutor’s office. This is about prosecutor Andrzej Woźniak, who filed charges against the priest. The investigator was informed about the possibility of committing a crime against Tomasz Mraz.

Since prosecutor Andrzej Woźniak, who is included in the application for committing a crime by Tomasz Mraz, signed the indictment, I and priest Michał Olszewski refused to testify or sign today’s activity. It is necessary to clarify the status of prosecutor Woźniak, who should have at least the status of a witness
– says lawyer Krzysztof Wąsowski in an interview with the wPolityce.pl portal.
The Woźniak case caused great controversy in July. According to the defenders of Father Michał Olszewski, Woźniak illegally recorded Mraz’s conversation with Karolina K., an official of the Justice Fund. This means that as an interested party in the case, he is not allowed to take any action in connection with the case. Mec. Wąsowski rightly recalls that as a potential witness, he can violate the legality of the prosecution’s actions. This is why neither Mr. Wąsowski nor Mr. Olszewski signed today’s reports to the Prosecutor’s Office.
What is also shocking is the fact that the Prosecutor’s Office is filing new and obviously bizarre charges at the very last moment before submitting a request to extend the detention. This could appear in court tomorrow. Krzysztof Wąsowski emphasizes that the prosecutors in this case are almost ridiculous. Woźniak also did not agree that the lawyers of the people detained in this case would make the materials from the investigation public. Woźniak’s response to the extensive request of the defense attorneys of Father Olszewski and two officials of the Ministry of Justice, who were detained with him at the end of March this year, was only one sentence.
(…) I want to inform you that I do not give permission for the publication of material from the investigation files in any form whatsoever. Prosecutor’s Office (…)
– we read in Woźniak’s one-sentence response to the request of lawyers representing the arrested priests. Olszewski and two officials from the Ministry of Justice.
Interestingly, Woźniak did not mind that Oraz himself, together with Roman Giertych, held press conferences in which they talked about the details of the investigation. Why did the defense demand the disclosure of some of the investigation material? He has important reasons. These include: about the public appearances of Tomasz Mraz, who, according to the defense attorneys of the arrested people, slanders them and in some cases does not tell the truth. The defense also wants to know whether the Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation into the disclosure of investigation secrets by Mraz. This is a very fair question. Although Roman Giertych claims that there can be no disclosure, independent prosecutors and lawyers think differently. The former, in the person of prosecutors Michał Ostrowski and Robert Hernand, even submitted a report to the prosecutor’s office about the possibility of a crime by Mraz and Giertych, possibly revealing the secret of the investigation. The lawyers for the detainees also want to know whether Mraz’s defenders were in any way authorized by the National Public Prosecution Service to reveal the secrets of the investigation.
