PiS MP Paweł Sałek announced in October that he would request the convening of a special meeting of the parliamentary committee on environmental protection, natural resources and forestry to discuss consultations on the inclusion of forest areas in sustainable forest management. “In order to thoroughly analyze the results of the social consultations announced by the Ministry of Culture and Science, they are being repeated because the first ones did not go as planned,” Sałek wrote.
Paweł Sałek noted on social media that Polish society was very actively involved in the consultations on the moratorium by Minister Hennig-Kloski, and that votes for or against its rejection are currently being counted.
A word about the work… On August 5, the consultation on the exclusion of forest areas from sustainable forest management (moratorium by Minister Paulina Hennig-Kloski) ended. The case concerned the regional directorates of state forests: Białystok, Gdańsk, Krosno, Radom, Wrocław. From the news we received, it appears that society participated very actively. The case is exciting as the results that the State Forestry Service must publish by August 25 of this year.

Currently, the votes for or against the moratorium, which were sent electronically and on paper to five RDSFs, are being counted, and interested parties are eagerly awaiting the results of the consultation: how many votes will be FOR and how many AGAINST the moratorium? (In my opinion, it is illegal anyway)

The PiS MP announced that he would submit a request to convene an extraordinary meeting of the parliamentary committee on environmental protection, natural resources and forestry, with the aim of analysing the results of public consultations.
However, today, during the summer holidays, I would like to inform you that as Deputy Chair of the Sejm Committee on Environmental Protection, Natural Resources and Forestry, I will request the convening of a special meeting of the Committee (as provided for in Article 152, paragraph 2, of the Rules of Procedure of the Sejm). Why? In order to thoroughly analyze the results of the social consultation announced by @MKiS_GOV_PL (they are repeated because the first ones did not go as planned…). Members making up one third of the Committee have the right to convene such a meeting, which must take place within one month.

The agenda of the Commission meeting will certainly include items regarding the submitted comments, opinions, entities, people who participated, what comments were submitted and how they were treated. The agenda of the Commission meeting will also include an invitation to the Minister of Environment and Climate Paulina Hennig-Kloska, Chief Curator of Nature Mikołaj Dorożała, Director General of State Forests and five RDL directors affected by this operation.

Overwhelming results
The former Deputy Environment Minister said a parliamentary discussion on the moratorium is necessary to prevent the Ministry of Environmental Protection from being able to arbitrarily decide on the conclusions of public consultations.
The issue of repeated consultations and results, as well as the INTERPRETATION of votes FOR and AGAINST, should be discussed in parliament. So that it does not turn out that consultation is consultation, but the main thing is who counts the votes and what interpretation of the results the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage will demand from LP. Because somehow it happened that the Ministry of Climate and Environment already on Monday, August 5, informed Dziennik Gazeta Prawna that the changes would be cosmetic in the interests of the moratorium. Does the ministry already know that most of the consultation participants objected to the moratorium? If the participants voted FOR, there would be a media campaign that society wants a moratorium, and if they voted AGAINST, the results of the consultation would be thrown out. Because the changes will be cosmetic

Simply put: the results of the consultations are overwhelming for the Ministry of Climate and Environment. As they say in the services: this case cannot be “screwed”. We are waiting for August 25 this year, but unofficially much is already known about the trend in the votes that are currently being counted 5 RDLP
