Civic Platform informed on the X platform about the death of the MP from the Wałbrzych district and vice-president of the club, Katarzyna Izabela Mrzygłocka. She was 65 years old and had been a member of the Sejm since 2005.
Earlier, the portal “Moja Świdnica” reported about the death of the MP.
“Mrzygłocka was a member of parliament for six terms and received enormous support from the residents of our district. She was associated with PO for many years and was also the chair of the Labour Protection Council. […] “She died after a long and serious illness,” it said.
Before becoming a Member of Parliament, Mrzygłocka worked as a social activist, local government official and deputy director of the employment office.
She graduated from the Faculty of Management and Computer Science of the Wrocław University of Economics and postgraduate studies in European law. She began political activities in 1998 and worked as a municipal councillor in Wałbrzych. She was also deputy chair of the Local Government Council and deputy chair of the Social Council of the Specialised Hospital A. Sokołowski in Wałbrzych. In the years 1994 – 2004 she was a member of the Freedom Union. She has been active in the Civic Platform since 2004 and on the parliamentary benches since 2005.
