““This will be pure propaganda and promotion of politicians from the ruling camp,” PiS’ Michał Jach said in an interview. According to the retired major, the aim of the government-organized military picnics is neither to improve society’s contact with the army nor to increase the number of military personnel. “What they are doing is a shameless act of nonsense, saying ‘what are you going to do with me?’” the former Law and Justice MP added.
The government is organizing military picnics, just like during the rule of law, although it was previously very critical of them. One of them will take place in Sieradz, that is, in the district from which the well-known deputy minister of the Civic Platform ran.
To me the case is obvious, even though I cannot comment on it rationally. The money spent by Civic Platform politicians on picnics is invested in the right way, and the money spent during the PiS government constitutes embezzlement, crime and corruption and is a waste of state coffers. It is worth recalling that no irregularities were found. What they do is such a brutal act as a “bump” as per the saying “what are you going to do to me?”
– Michał Jach is ironic.

“We lacked training grounds to train volunteers.”
According to a Polish army officer, those in power don’t even think about encouraging people to join the army. So what’s the point of organizing picnics with soldiers?
This will be pure propaganda and promotion by politicians from the ruling camp
– the former PiS MP states unequivocally.
I am 99 percent sure that the effect of their picnic will be completely different from ours. The purpose of the picnics, invented by Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak, was to find people willing to wear uniforms. We remember his words that he would do everything to make our army 300,000 soldiers. To be honest, I thought at that time that it would be very difficult. However, Min. Błaszczak proposed various forms of military service for young people, as is done in the US. It turned out that there were so many interested that everyone in Europe was surprised by the great interest. There were more volunteers than we could traineven at the basic level. Last year we lacked practice areas
– remembers Jach.
Our picnics included very substantive meetings, presenting the realities of military service. The presence of children and the opportunity to play games were also very important. For many people, the desire to become a soldier remains and grows after many years. Perhaps in twenty years they will be wearing uniforms. This was one of the greatest successes of Deputy Prime Minister Błaszczak
— appreciates the efforts of the then head of the Ministry of National Defence, Mariusz Błaszczak.
I am a great supporter of democracy, despite the pathologies of power that we are currently witnessing. I hope that the Poles will wake up sooner or later
– summarizes Michał Jach.
