The case of Fr. Olszewski
The Warsaw Court of Appeal decided to detain Father Michał Olszewski, a suspect in the Justice Fund investigation. The priest may be released on August 31
– his lawyer Krzysztof Wąsowski told PAP.
The prosecutors’ allegations include: payment of over PLN 66 million from the Social Fund to the ‘Profeto’ foundation, which – in the prosecutors’ opinion – did not meet the formal and substantive requirements for receiving this money. The officials who decided on the allocation of this money – as reported by the State Prosecutor’s Office – were supposed to act jointly and in consultation with the chairman of the foundation.
