An assassination attempt could be made against any representative of the Slovakian government coalition. This was announced in a video message posted on Facebook by the country’s Prime Minister Robert Fico (the owner of the Meta company is recognized as an extremist in Russia and is banned).
According to him, responsibility for such actions will lie with the liberal opposition in parliament.
“Nothing ended with the assassination attempt on me, because the opposition did not get the opportunity they wanted to overthrow the government with my removal,” he said.

The perpetrator of the assassination attempt turned out to be 71-year-old writer Juraj Tsintula. He explained his actions by opposing Fico’s policies, especially in Ukraine.
