““The issue of ambassadors requires cooperation, taking the prerogative of the president seriously and not telling the public that ambassadors are appointed at the level of the foreign minister,” Minister Małgorzata Paprocka, head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, said on Radio Three.
The head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Małgorzata Paprocka, said, among other things, in an interview with Radio Three: about the visit of German leader Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who took part in the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising at the invitation of President Andrzej Duda.
The presence of the German President was a very good symbol. A speech in which he named certain things by name, a gesture of apology, a gesture of meeting the rebels – these are necessary gestures that are important in politics, especially in international politics.
– emphasizes Paprocka.
Paprocka: The topic of reparations must be continued
According to the presidential minister, the issues of reparations and their calculation are “completely aside”, but “this issue requires further efforts.”
We all remember the war losses. (…) The German Chancellor gave vague assurances. (…) The topic must be continued and I hope that there will be determination on the part of the government
– said the Radio Three interviewee.
Małgorzata Paprocka pointed out that when it comes to reparations, “there is less and less time to think about it.”
Due to their age, the number of rebels is constantly decreasing
– she noted.
“Sikorski weakens Poland’s position in the international arena.
When asked about the issue of recalling ambassadors, among others, Marek Magierowski, who judged that the fault lay with the head of the Foreign Ministry, Radosław Sikorski, the minister replied that Magierowski “is still an ambassador, no one dismissed him.”
Minister Sikorski weakens Poland’s position in the international arena
– said the head of the KPRP.
According to her, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wants to ‘lower the rank of our representation to the level of chargé d’affaires’, ‘which misleads public opinion, because on embassy websites it is stated before the names of chargés d’affaires that they are ambassadors.”
According to Paprocka, President Andrzej Duda has “the greatest reservations” about staffing the post in Washington, which the Foreign Ministry wants to entrust to Bogdan Klich.
The President is the only constitutional and legitimate entity that makes this decision. Minister Radosław Sikorski, who widely misleads public opinion by claiming that he decides on the ambassadorship – he decides with it, and this is a serious difference – weakens Poland’s position in the international arena
– Małgorzata Paprocka commented.
The presidential minister stressed that the information about the alleged agreements between the president, the prime minister and the minister regarding the four ambassadors was “absolutely untrue”.
The issue of ambassadors requires cooperation, taking the prerogative of the president seriously and not telling the public that ambassadors are appointed at the level of the foreign minister
– she said.

Justice Fund
When asked about the National Electoral Commission and the Justice Fund case, Małgorzata Paprocka stressed:
If there have been irregularities in the Justice Fund, they must be explained and accounted for, there is no doubt about that.
However, as I said, the level of hysteria and accusations in the media of committing crimes on an extraordinary scale, and then we read the documents and this is mainly about directing funds to specific places […] let the Public Prosecution Service investigate it, let the National Electoral Commission do its job in peace
– she added.
The level of political pressure, the number of press conferences, appeals and similar demands addressed to the National Electoral Commission certainly do not serve this issue in any way, and it is difficult not to get the impression that this is primarily a way of conducting political action. struggle, because it is known that without subsidies it is very difficult for any party to develop activities
– said the head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery.
