The National Electoral Commission has asked the head of government for information about notifications sent to the prosecutor’s office following audits of public institutions. It refers to violations of the Electoral Act, which could result in the rejection of the financial report of the Electoral Commission – money.pl, which reported on Monday, discovered.
The National Electoral Commission must decide on the settlement of committees from last year’s parliamentary campaign by Wednesday, July 31 at the latest.

Most questions are raised by the decision on the report of the Law and Justice Commission, whose candidates were allegedly supported by money from the Justice Fund (especially the Ziobrists) or used state functions or resources to carry out campaign activities (for example, 800 plus picnics).
– remembers money.pl
The portal also pointed out that “the National Electoral Commission, in a letter dated July 12 – the day after it met and decided to postpone the decision until the end of the month to collect more data – asked the Prime Minister for information on ‘notifications’ sent to the prosecutor’s office following the inspection and audits of bodies in cases of violation of the provisions of the Electoral Act that have been cited as reasons for rejecting the financial report of an electoral commission.
According to money.pl, “the Prime Minister’s Office was surprised by the letter because many signals from the government and the prosecutor’s office had already reached the National Electoral Commission.”
I see it as an attempt to shift the responsibility to the reporting entities, including us. Meanwhile, the National Electoral Commission has a constitutional obligation to analyze all signals it receives about possible irregularities. They cannot approach it the way they always do, which is to say routinely claim that the National Electoral Commission cannot do much
– Maciej Berek, head of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers, told money.pl. In his opinion, “there is a public feeling that something strange has happened in the campaign and pre-campaign areas.”
Answer on behalf of the Prime Minister
On July 26, the head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, Jan Grabiec, responded to the National Electoral Commission on behalf of the Prime Minister in an 18-page letter. It indicates both cases submitted to the prosecutor’s office and other cases that, in the Chancellery’s opinion, may be useful to the National Electoral Commission in assessing possible violations of electoral law.
While there are no direct statements calling for the rejection of the PiS report, numerous quotes clearly point to such suggestions.
– emphasizes money.pl
In it, the head of the Prime Minister’s Office lists several types of possible violations of electoral law and cites examples that, in his opinion, prove that the PiS team committed them.
Money.pl noted that 16 attachments were added to the response from the Prime Minister’s Office, explaining that “these are letters from members of the government describing irregularities from the time of their predecessors.”
It should be added that obtaining full information about ongoing proceedings may require the National Electoral Commission to turn to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for appropriate information.
– Jan Grabiec adds in the letter.
Although the letter does not contain summary information on how many applications have been sent to the public prosecutor’s office and how many of them relate to the right to vote, as we hear from the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, the annexes to the letter, which contain possible notifications, play such a role. Our interlocutor also emphasizes that the basis for rejecting a notification can often be irregularities that do not necessarily have to be suitable for notification to the public prosecutor’s office.
– we are reading.
Money.pl pointed out that “our government interlocutors with whom we have spoken in recent days do not expect a breakthrough in the form of rejection of the PiS committee’s financial report.”
