“This is a politician who has never shown any initiative,” PiS MEP Tobiasz Bocheński said about Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski in the WP programme “Tłit”. The MEP described the Warsaw Mayor as a “political puppet” with whom – if Trzaskowski is a candidate for the presidency of the Republic of Poland – the Civic Coalition wants to close the political system.
Speculations about presidential candidates continue, especially among the largest political parties in Poland: KO, which forms the ruling coalition, and the opposition PiS. In the case of the Civic Coalition, speculations about the candidacy of Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski continue. The day before yesterday, the capital’s mayor said in an interview with “Gazeta Wyborcza”:
The presidential elections will be the final stage of the culmination of the process of redemocratization of the state. If our candidate wins, we can say that the PiS era is definitely over.
Bocheński: KO wants to close the political system
PiS MEP Tobiasz Bocheński commented on Trzaskowski’s statement in the WP’s “Tłit” programme. According to Bocheński, the mayor of Warsaw reveals “his political dreams” about the end of PiS.
The Civic Coalition would like to close the political system with its representative. If this is to be President Trzaskowski, it will be his political puppet who will make all decisions in accordance with Tusk’s will.
– said the MEP from Poland’s largest opposition party.

“Andrzej Duda demands compromises. Tusk is not organically capable of that.”
According to Tobiasz Bocheński, Rafał Trzaskowski never opposed anyone in his political career, especially not the KO leader Donald Tusk.
This is a politician who has never shown any initiative
– emphasized the guest of the WP program “Tłit”.
Tobiasz Bocheński also referred to disputes between the government and the president, for example, visible over the appointment of ambassadors or individual bills. Why is cohabitation so difficult?
Andrzej Duda is so disturbing because he needs a compromise that Donald Tusk is organically incapable of
– said the PiS member.
For this reason, during the PiS government, the Competence Act was adopted, which sets out the procedures for cooperation between the government and the president. Today, Minister Sikorski and Donald Tusk do not want to respect the provisions of this law, hence the tension
– Bocheński noted.
