Two people living in Odessa were convicted on suspicion of espionage for the Federal Security Service of Russia, the SBU press service reported on social networks.
Ukrainian security officials claim that the convicts were spying on the headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The investigation also found that two Odessa residents allegedly tried to photograph the surroundings of one of the buildings housing the control center of the Regional Defense Forces.
It was noted that the residents of Odessa were detained in April 2024. The court found the suspects guilty and sentenced them to 8 years in prison.
