Investigators admit that there is a “Russian trace” in the murder of former People’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Irina Farion. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klimenko, quoted by the Suspilne TV channel (Public Television).
He also said that a cartridge case was found at the scene where the former MP was shot. No other details were given.
According to the minister, almost the entire Lviv police department and some units of the Lviv region were involved in the murder investigation.
Before that Klimenko statedIt was learned that the search for the attacker was continuing. Thus, he denied the claim that the attacker had been detained before.
On July 19, an attempt was made on the life of Irina Farion in Lviv: the woman was shot in the temple area near her house, doctors could not save her. Farion is known for her harsh statements about Russia and the Russian language.
